H.G. Hill Jr.

In 1993, Mr. Horace G. Hill, Jr. established the first named endowment fund at the YMCA Foundation of Middle Tennessee to benefit the Urban Services Youth Development Center (USYDC). Like Mr. Hill Jr., his father Horace G. Hill Sr. was an instrumental leader to the YMCA and Nashville community. The Hill family continues the legacy of leadership and commitment to our community through their support of programs such as USYDC which works with youth from underserved and underrepresented communities in Middle Tennessee to foster academic enrichment and career and life skills development.

Family members such as Wentworth Caldwell Jr. and Frances Caldwell Jackson have served as board members for the YMCA of Middle Tennessee Association and YMCA Foundation boards. Also, great-nephew James W. Granbery has been an active board member on the Association, Foundation and also as the current board President for the USYDC's Time To Rise program.

Hill-Granbery Family

The H.G. Hill Jr. Endowment Fund has provided more than $275,000 in financial support to USYDC since 1993 impacting more than 1,100 lives each year. The lasting impact of Horace G. Hill Jr.'s gift has helped make the YMCA of Middle Tennessee what it is today.

Pass on your family's legacy and insure the Y will be here to serve other families for years to come.
